Why we need it:
- Insects are fast, and many of them fly! Lightweight nets let us scoop faster, to catch and examine them up close.
- Insects are important. Observing them teaches us about lifecycles, food webs, habitats and more!
- We use insect nets often, for the hard work of exploration. Though durable, they get a lot of use.
Through programs and field trips, younger generations are inspired to love nature. Their tendency towards hands-on learning teaches them why and how to care for the outside world through practice. Let’s give them the equipment they need.
